When to stop testing.
Leaking, sparking, overheating and repeatedly tripping appliances need an assessment.
A reset is not a repair.
Stop using equipment that leaks, sparks, smells burnt or trips the supply. Keep hands out of disposal chambers and macerator casings closed. Do not remove microwave covers. For an immediate emergency, seek the appropriate emergency assistance; a web enquiry is not an emergency response service.
After a power interruption
Write down what changed before you tried anything else. Preserve the exact display wording; do not repeatedly reset a tripping supply.
