Begin with the behaviour.

A cleaner that cuts out differs from one that runs with poor pickup. Describe the model and the floor-head behaviour.

Follow only normal filter and bin care in the user instructions; stop if there is burning smell or damage.

OBSERVATIONS FIRST

What has changed?

These are possible assessment areas, rather than a diagnosis or an instruction to dismantle the appliance.

Pickup becomes weak

Does the motor run and does the problem occur with every normal attachment?

Routine airflow restrictions, filters or another fault may be involved.

The cleaner cuts out

Note how long it runs and whether it restarts after normal cooling.

Protection, airflow, battery or control may need assessment.

The floor brush stays still

Does the motor run and is the issue limited to one floor head?

The head, its drive or controls may need examination.

A cordless cleaner does not charge

Record the model and exact indicator sequence.

Charger, battery connections or electronics can show similar symptoms.

The cleaner will not power on

Record corded or cordless type and any indicators.

Supply, switching or power-system issues may need assessment.

The sound changes suddenly

Stop if there is burning smell, damage or an unusual harsh noise.

Air path, moving parts or motor condition needs context.

Choose the name on the appliance.

PRACTICAL DETAILS

When the fault comes and goes

A simple time line helps: what you selected, what happened and when it stopped. Do not keep using an appliance that leaks, overheats or trips the supply.

Find your area.

BRING THE MODEL. WE’LL DISCUSS THE REST.
